"Comfort Movements for Birth"
(class info coming soon!)
I have trained with Spinning Babies, Dancing for Birth, and Rebozo and enjoy using various techniques during birthing time. I also personally love dancing and keeping up with my yoga practice and am hoping to combine the methods and the joy in a teaser class for expectant mothers.

Calm Mama Private Classes
Not sure you want a doula, but you want the insider tips? Take my Calm Mama class.
"When do I go to the hospital?" "How will I know I'm in labor?" "I'm afraid to be in pain." These quotes are all common concerns expressed by expectant women and couples. CALM MAMA Comfort Measures in Childbirth Classes are based on DONA Founder Penny Simkin's Comfort in Labor: How You Can Help Yourself to a Normal Satisfying Childbirth and will provide you comfort measures and techniques you can use at home or hospital. I am certified DONA Birth Doula and some of the topics we will cover are relaxation, comfort, and calming techniques that you can use in early labor as well as address any questions you may have regarding your upcoming birth within a doula's scope of practice*. I will introduce all the wonderful tools and techniques available to a laboring woman by using my birth kit for visual aids, Position Labor guide images, as well as Penny Simkin's Comfort in Labor Guide. We will discuss implementation, timing, and different scenarios with time for questions and answers. I love teaching and educating about birth, so I hope you will join me!

"Rachel Connolly-Kwock has been teaching Comfort in Labor seminars with Babies “R” Us in East Hanover NJ, for the past year. We were introduced to Rachel via the NJ Birth Networks Programs, led by birth professionals. Seminars are generally attended by anywhere from 10 to 25 couples and occur once a month. The classes last about 60-90 minutes. Rachel shares tips on Comforts in Labor, including ideas for positioning and creating a relaxing ambiance. Rachel also addresses any questions that come up during the question and answer session ,offering comfort ideas, techniques and resources. She does not offer medical advice, per a doula’s scope of practice. The registrants have enjoyed having Rachel as a teacher and sometimes come back for repeat sessions. Some of the quotes from our registrants include “very informative”, “upbeat and knowledgeable”, “awesome class, we will be back again.” Rachel demonstrates a great amount of experience and skill with regards to teaching Comfort in Labor and the registrants and I have enjoyed having her with us. - Michelle Caporusso, Babies R Us Marketing Specialist
